Investigation into Fátima's Case Continues

The Attorney General's Office of Justice of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) has reported on the progress in the investigation of the Fátima case, a 13-year-old student who was thrown from the third floor of her secondary school by her aggressors due to her fanaticism for K-pop, a music genre originating from Korea. The incident took place on February 4 at Secondary School No. 236, located in the Iztapalapa borough. Fátima suffered serious injuries from the fall.

After the incident, Fátima's father filed a complaint with the Juvenile Criminal Justice Office on February 7, marking the start of the corresponding investigation file. Since then, FGJCDMX has been in contact with the minor's parents and school authorities to advance the inquiries and clarify what happened.

The Attorney General's Office is also conducting interviews with the secondary school staff and other members of the school community to explore all available lines of investigation. So far, no further details have been provided about the progress of the investigation or possible sanctions for the minors responsible for the attack.

Both Fátima's family and the K-pop fan community, as well as society in general, are waiting for justice to be served and for those responsible for throwing the teenager out the window solely for her passion for music to be punished. The motives behind this atrocious act are still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
